Do I need physical therapy for my wrist and hand pain?
The wrist is a complicated structure, designed for the intricate work of the hand. There are 20 tendons, 10 bones, 3 nerves, and 2 arteries that run through the wrist. All of these work seamlessly together, until they don’t. When your wrist begins to hurt, it can be difficult to perform the activities you love. Putting weight on your wrist becomes impossible, writing and typing becomes painful, and simple activities like shaking hands or turning doorknobs can bring you to your knees. Our job is to help you tease out the relevant information to determine why you hurt and what can be done about it. Regaining the use of your wrist is important to you and we are here to help.
