Dr. Jesse Davenport, PT, DPT

Co-Owner

Jesse graduated from Tennessee Technological University with his Bachelor's of Science in 2013. There he met his wonderful wife , Cassie. After graduating from Tennessee Tech he started pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Tennessee State University. Upon obtaining his doctorate he began his career in multiple settings such as; acute care, skilled nursing, home health, and primarily outpatient. Jesse has a passion to learn new techniques to improve his ability to treat his patients. Jesse enjoys playing guitar at church, running, biking, kayaking, and going on adventures with his two sons and wife.

Dr. Ian Crider, PT, DPT

Co-owner

Ian graduated from Springfield College (in Springfield, MA), cum laude, with his Bachelor’s of Science. While in Massachusetts, he competed 4 years of varsity gymnastics, and was named an academic all-American multiple times. After graduating from Springfield he proceeded to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout his career in physical therapy he has obtained experience in many patient populations including: acute and chronic pain, athletics, pediatric and geriatric, and post-surgical among many others. Ian has a great passion for physical therapy and helping patients reach their goals. Above all Ian is dedicated to serving God and is very involved in his local church. Ian is happily married to his wife Brittany, whom he married in 2015. He Also has loves to go on adventures with his son.

Robert Boswell, PTA

Robert is a Physical Therapist Assistant who has served several communities in the greater Nashville and Gallatin area for 7 years. Robert is from Memphis, TN, and has called Sumner County his home for 12 years now. He is a husband of 11 years and has a 3-year-old daughter and a Baby Boy that he enjoys spending his time with when he is not helping his patients return to their fullest potential.

As a former linebacker for @vol_football, Robert bleeds BIG ORANGE and will boast about his Volunteers any chance he gets. Outside of football, his passions include nutrition, weight lifting, hiking, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and discipleship. Robert prides himself most in being a born-again believer and follower of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Robert is @astym_therapy certified, and @mckenzieusa trained with specializations in spinal rehabilitation, soft tissue remodeling and regeneration, and many various manual therapy techniques. Robert truly loves getting to know his patients; what drives them, what their backgrounds are, what their passions are, and what they desire in life. He has a unique ability to progress his patients appropriately while having fun with engaging conversation and fellowship. If you have any questions on the rationale or the science behind the method, Robert will be more than happy to provide a detailed explanation and then some.

SHANNON SLAYTON, CPT

Shannon Slayton is a wellness and life coach helping others lead their own change with Discover Your Journey and The Movement Shop. I have a passion to meet others where they are and help them discover what they value most to create the meaningful life and healthy habits they desire. With curiosity and compassion we develop a clear vision, identify fears and obstacles, and create an action plan for inevitable success. Coaching helps give you the support and accountability to reach your goals.My approach integrates the physical, mental, nutritional, relational, spiritual, emotional, and recreational aspects within a balanced life of purpose, presence, and vitality. As I learn and grow through my own challenges and transformation process, I hope to help others do the same.

Cassie Rigsby, LMT

Cassie Rigsby is an experienced massage therapist with 18 years of practice. She is trained in various modalities and specializes in deep tissue, neuromuscular, trigger point, prenatal, and sports massages. Cassie is passionate about helping her clients find relief from physical discomfort, emotional stress, and tension. With a gentle and intuitive touch, she creates a soothing atmosphere that promotes relaxation and healing. Her knowledge of various massage techniques and her dedication to each individual's unique needs ensure a personalized and effective session every time. Michelle Sadler, LMT

Michelle has a passion for adapting the healing benefits of massage to each body. Michelle received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and completed her massage schooling and apprenticeship training in Hawai’i. She, her husband of 22 years, 2 teenage daughters and Boston Terrier are recent transplants to Middle Tennessee.

With training from clinical medical massage to the holistic lomi lomi, she utilizes various techniques to improve circulation, relieve stress, and help mitigate all the aches and pains of life.

The goal in her massage therapy practice is to assist others by helping the body get back on its way to healing itself, helping clients to live their life as pain free as possible.

Ashley brings a wealth of experience in client relations to our team. With a passion for helping others and a keen eye for detail, she ensures that every client's experience at The Movement Shop is nothing short of exceptional.
